Looking for a little help… Thank you!!

So, I think I’ve finally started to pull myself out of this funk. For the last couple weeks I’ve been a real downer and I think I’ve finally pushed past it. This is something that just happens from time to time and I always come out of it stronger, but it really wears me down. I feel like I need to hit my reset button and do some sort of cleanse for my body. 

I know there are a LOT out there, but I want to do one that’s healthy and isn’t going to leave me starving for a period of time. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Can anyone recommend exercises that strengthen your knees?

I played softball for years and was a catcher quite often. I’ve recently taken up running more seriously and my knees are starting to feel uncomfortable. I DON’T want to stop running (I love it so much!) but I also don’t want to blow my knees out. There MUST be some knee exercises out there!

Weights or cardio first?

CHIVALRY IS NOT DEAD.

This morning during my run, another runner coming towards me stopped in order to grab a snake in our path WITH HIS BARE HANDS and fling it into the wash. “There was a snake, but you’re safe now,” he said breathless, but with a strong, deep voice. I’m glad he saw that snake because I would have lost my mind. I was tempted to run after him, but he rode off on a white horse into a rainbow while is Disney prince hair was blowing in the wind. I’m PRETTY sure it was Prince Eric… pretty sure.

“Wow. THAT run was a waste of time,” said no one ever.

Not once in my life did I believe I would ever be an outdoor runner. While I was highly attracted to the idea, I never made the effort because it just seemed like I wasn’t “right for it”. Well, here I am, day 4 of REAL, OUTDOOR 2 MILE RUNS!! It feels SO GOOD!!

And I am NOT stopping!!

What has been your most successful lifestyle change on your fitness journey?

I know everyone is different so I’m curious to know what you’ve done to reach a healthier lifestyle. 

Has anyone else used the “Couch to 5K” app?

There are 2 in the app store and I’m wondering if the one with 5 stars and TONS more reviews is worth the $3.

Just curious. I need the encouragement more these days.

It’s like having a personal trainer again AND you and do it all at home! 

I sound like an advert, but I really like it. A friend of mine who is built exactly like me uses it and she looks AMAZING! I highly recommend it to everyone. GO DOWNLOAD IT!!!

Just got back from the gym.

I shaved 0:52 off my mile in less than 2 weeks! I feel pretty good about that :)

I had a delicious high-protein breakfast with eggs, chicken, green chilies, onion, low-fat cheese, and avocado. YUM! Because Wednesdays are my day off, I always go out to breakfast. Today I went to my favorite spot. When you order your meal, they give you a sign that marks your table with a different word. Today my word was “Shark” which I thought was PERFECT!!! If a shark stops moving, it will die. 

If I stop moving, I will die.

I AM A SHARK!!!
